Job Description

Casting "Third Space Drama," a short film.
Synopsis:
A small, fast-paced two-hander set on the back patio of an East Los Angeles coffee shop, the film follows Juno and Frankie as a casual conversation about going to LACMA spirals into a larger discussion about access, class, public space, and the strange gap between our politics and our reflexes. What begins as a gripe about museum parking, ticket prices, and the absurdity of art behind a paywall slowly opens into something more personal: the difficulty of finding true third spaces in Los Angeles, the tension between wanting community and wanting comfort, and the contradictions people reveal when the public actually enters the public space. Structured in the loose, conversational lane of Coffee and Cigarettes, the short is a sharp, funny, dialogue-driven piece about friendship, ideology, money, and the tiny social ruptures that expose who we think we are versus who we actually are.
