Drama Instructor Overview:
Join our team as a passionate Drama Instructor dedicated to inspiring and educating students in the art of drama and theater. As a Drama Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and creativity to foster a love for drama among students of 5th-12th Grade . Utilize your skills to create engaging and dynamic drama lessons that promote skill development and self-expression.
Duties:
  • Develop and implement creative and effective drama lesson plans suitable for students of varying ages and skill levels
  • Instruct students in a variety of drama styles
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to enhance their technique and performance abilities
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate recitals, performances, or competitions showcasing students' talents
  • Incorporate music selection, choreography, and costume coordination into dance instruction
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed to ensure individualized learning experiences
  • Work alongside other departments so students can be well diverse in dance and music education as well.
Qualifications:
  • All Levels welcome to Apply, but preferred educational backing
  • Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or related field; Master's degree is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Dance Instructor working with students of diverse backgrounds
  • Strong knowledge of various dance styles and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students effectively
  • Ability to develop age-appropriate lesson plans that cater to different learning needs
  • Experience in choreographing routines and staging performances
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience working with secondary age in a drama setting
  • Knowledge of behavior management and classroom management techniques when working with children
  • Background in childcare or special education that enhances teaching abilities
  • Proficiency in lesson planning tailored to different age groups and skill levels
  • Familiarity with photography for capturing dance moments
