Seeking an Instructor to teach a Drawing/Cartooning Class at Highland Recreation (Part-Time Contracted) We are looking for a creative, reliable, and kid‑focused instructor to lead a youth Drawing/Cartooning classes at Highland Recreation. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children, can develop engaging and age‑appropriate curriculum, and is excited to inspire young artists week after week. This opportunity is perfect for someone who: Has experience teaching youth in art, drawing, cartooning, or similar creative programs Can design and implement fun, structured lesson plans Is energetic, patient, and able to manage a classroom of young artists Can commit to a consistent, long‑term schedule Lives locally and values community-building Is motivated by passion and purpose—not just a paycheck If you have a background in art education, youth programming, illustration, or simply love helping kids express themselves creatively, we'd love to hear from you! Help us create a positive and inspiring space where young artists can learn, grow, and thrive. Instructor Pay The City of Largo will pay 70% of base class registration fees. There is a 3-month probation period. If a class average of 5 participants or more per class is not met, then the class may be canceled. Once an inquiry is submitted, a program supervisor will contact you to discuss further.
