Job Description

Are you passionate about dance and love inspiring others? We're looking for an energetic and creative Dance Instructor to join our Junior Theatre team!
Benefits:

All City employees receive 20% off Park Amenities, including: adult and youth sports leagues, camps, theatre classes, and even shelter and facility rentals. Instructor Level 1: $18.00 - $19.00 Hourly Instructor Level 2: $21.50-$22.50 Hourly Under the supervision of the Performing Arts Supervisor and/or Coordinator, leads in activities of Performing Arts. Experience working with youth required. Leads in classrooms with youth. Helps implement performances. Instructor Level 1: High School Diploma AND experience in Theatre, Dance, Education, Parks and Recreation or similar field. Instructor Level 2: Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Dance, Education, Parks and Recreation, or similar field (or experience equivalent to degree) AND 4 years experience instructing in arts related programs. Must pass a background check as prescribed by the City of Davenport.
Considerable Knowledge of:
Interaction with children, adaptability to changing environment, experience in dance, performing arts and performances.
Working Skill in:
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with associates and the general public, understanding and following written and oral instructions. Implementation of performances and events, managing a changing schedule.
