Traveling Certified Freelance Teacher for Touring Theater Production (IL) On Location Education Chicago, IL Job Details Temporary | Contract $1,100 - $1,200 a week 5 hours ago Qualifications Teaching Certification Bachelor's degree Working with students Full Job Description Certified freelance teacher needed to academically tutor elementary/middle school aged actors working on a touring theater production from mid-August through beginning of February 2027. The students vary in grade level. Teacher should have experience teaching elementary/middle grades, including advanced middle school mathematics (Algebra I). The touring teacher will also cover a backstage chaperone role for the children when the primary chaperone is unavailable. A background in theater is preferred, but not required. All related travel and housing expenses will be provided by the touring production.
Teacher Requirements and Qualifications:
Must hold a valid teacher certificate from one of the 50 states. Must have the availability to travel through the beginning of February 2027 (possibility of extension). Previous teaching and/or tutoring experience required. Must have a current passport.
Note:
Teachers without the availability to travel through the beginning of February and a current teaching certification need not apply.
