Responsibilities include planning and implementing engaging lessons, developing students' acting and performance skills, organizing rehearsals and student work sessions, selecting appropriate performance material, coordinating student roles and responsibilities, and overseeing the preparation and presentation of school drama productions throughout the year. Note other part-time positions advertised, which may be paired with this position. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive drama lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, self-expression, and teamwork Prepare students for performances, including rehearsals, stage management, and technical coordination Incorporate learning technology and multimedia tools to enhance theatrical instruction Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with diverse learning styles and special education needs Assess student progress through observations, performances, and standardized assessments; provide constructive feedback Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning atmosphere Collaborate with colleagues on school productions, workshops, and extracurricular activities Skills Have a personal and active relationship with Jesus Christ; model Christian character Knowledge of childhood development principles relevant to drama education Excellent classroom management skills to foster discipline while encouraging creativity Exceptional communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively Able to tailor curriculums and manage production budgets
