Job Description:
The Creative Arts Department at Siena University invites applications for a part-time contract faculty position in Creative Arts to begin Fall 2026. Teach 3 sections of THTR262 Theatre Production. Manage the stock of costumes for the Theatre program, maintain inventory and track usage in one main-stage production per term, and one smaller student-run production. Supervise, engage with, and instruct THTR262 and Practicum students assigned to the costume shop in all aspects of the costume shop duties. Procure fabrics and other supplies for costume construction and track expenditures under direction of the Production Manager. Consult with Guest Artists. Drape costume mock-ups. Perform all skilled costume construction. Properly fit mock ups and finished costumes on actors. Design and Construct costume accessories and soft goods as they relate to the production. Participate in curricular assessments for personal professional development, and for departmental and college core curriculum assessment. Work with colleagues in a shared performing arts classroom space and participate in cleanup and organization. Participate in production meetings with theatre faculty and staff.
Job Requirements:
3 years of academic or professional theatre experience BA or BFA in Costume Design and technology is preferred Experience teaching at the college level is required. A background screening
