Job Description
Teaching Artist Creative Cauldron Stage About the Role Creative Cauldron Stage is seeking two passionate and experienced Teaching Artists (Theater and/or Dance) to join our education team. This creative team will be a part of our "Artes Para Todos" after school program at Westlawn Elementary School in Falls Church. This is a program is an initiative that seeks to break down traditional language barriers and welcoming a sector of our community that has been vastly neglected by educational theater programs. Westlawn Elementary is a Title One school where more than 70% of the students qualify for the free and reduced lunch program. A corresponding number come from households where Spanish is spoken as the primary language. Responsibilities Plan and teach a weekly drama program during after school hours Wednesdays from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. (Exact program dates below) Develop an adaptation of a folktale from Central or Latin America to be performed by 25 elementary students in grades 3
- 6 at 2 morning school assemblies and one evening performance for families.
BILINGUAL

Compensation:
$2,500- $3,000 ($65
