Job Description

Job Summary Are you passionate about the arts and inspiring young people? We are looking for dynamic, creative, and enthusiastic Camp Instructors to lead our 2026 Summer Camp at the Workhouse Arts Center. As a Camp Instructor, you will guide campers through engaging, skill-building sessions in a fun and supportive environment. Summer camp runs Monday, June 16 through Friday, August 21, 2026, across 9 one-week sessions Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Instructors will design learning modules that build skills over the course of each week A minimum two-week commitment is required; we strongly prefer a two- to eight-week commitment.

Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction for campers ages 10 to 16 Design weekly lesson plans that build progressively on skills Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Collaborate with fellow instructors and Workhouse staff Supervise campers throughout the program day Qualifications Experience in performing arts, visual arts, or a related instructional field required Strong communication and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate children and teens ages 10 to 16 Reliable, team-oriented, and able to maintain an active pace throughout the program day Must be 18 years of age or older Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, as required for all positions working with minors This role requires the ability to stand and move actively throughout the program day, and occasionally lift or carry materials up to 25 pounds. Pay:
$30.00 per hour
