Full-Time Position Summary The Cultural Enrichment Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging instruction in art, music, and cultural studies that reflects and celebrates Latino and African American cultures. This role supports the development of the whole child by fostering creativity, cultural identity, and self-expression across K5 through 8th grade. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Development Develop and implement standards-aligned lessons in visual arts, music, and cultural enrichment Integrate Latino and African American history, traditions, and contributions into instruction Provide hands-on learning experiences including art projects, music exploration, and cultural storytelling Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Student Engagement & Classroom Environment Create a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment Foster student creativity, confidence, and self-expression Establish and maintain effective classroom management practices Collaboration & School Integration Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to align enrichment programming with academic goals Participate in school-wide initiatives, events, and family engagement activities Support and coordinate student performances, showcases, and cultural events Program Development Contribute to the development of a culturally rich enrichment program Introduce students to influential artists, musicians, and cultural leaders Support opportunities for student voice and leadership through the arts Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Art, Music, Cultural Studies, or related field (preferred) Experience working with children in a school or community-based setting Knowledge of or experience with Latino and/or African American culture Strong instructional and classroom management skills Ability to engage students across multiple age groups
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Experience in performing arts, music, or visual arts instruction Experience in enrichment or after-school programming
