Vehicle Communications System Operator Instructor Location:
Camp Pendleton, CA Overview:
SkyBridge Tactical is seeking a motivated Vehicle Communications System Operator Instructor that has the knowledge, skills and attributes to implement and evaluate instruction on the operation and maintenance of vehicular radio sets, analyzing tools and specialized computer hardware/software programs to employ voice and digital communication transmissions for command and control at the Transmissions Systems Operator level. The Instructor will review and provide recommended changes to course curricula, lesson plans, student guides, and audio-visual aids in support of lesson material and examinations. Must deliver instruction incident events identified for the Assault Amphibious Family of Vehicles (FOVs), and the associated training systems. Additionally, this Instructor will be responsible for the upkeep of his or her assigned periods of instruction and other administrative tasks associated with maintenance of the communications curriculum This Position is Contingent upon Contract Award to
SkyBridge Tactical LLC Responsibilities:
The Vehicle Communications System Operator Instructor Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Deliver instruction on the operation, maintenance, and configuration of ACV communication systems, subsystems, and equipment controls. Train students in diagnostic testing procedures, interpreting test results, and isolating faults at the Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level. Guide service members in the removal and installation of electronic components and in performing routine and corrective maintenance. Provide training in the service, calibration, adjustment, and fine-tuning of ground radio equipment and electronic testing machines. Perform instruction on PMCS procedures, inspections, repairs, and other tasks as outlined in ACV technical references. Teach inspection and classification procedures for vehicle intercommunication equipment and ensure compliance with standards. Conduct hands-on maintenance simulations and assist in OPCHECKs, installations, and inventory control processes. Evaluate and revise training content including lesson plans, student guides, audiovisual materials, and course exams. Ensure students are proficient in testing communications equipment per associated standards and technical manuals. Support quality control measures in coordination with the Lending Element Manager to confirm the completeness of maintenance actions.
Required Qualifications:
Must be current USMC Swim Quall Intermediate, or capable of qualifying as such. Must have a current SVET qualification or capable of qualifying in the SVET. Strong technical proficiency with electronics and communications systems used in military vehicle platforms. Ability to service, repair, calibrate, and test electrical and electronic (non-mechanical) systems. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend technical English, including terms related to diagnostics, maintenance, and electronics. Familiarity with the operation and field maintenance of ACV communications suites and intercom systems. Proficient with PMCS, troubleshooting, and repair procedures in accordance with technical references.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior military experience within the armored vehicle community with an emphasis on 4 years experience in an Assault Amphibian Battalion as an operator, mechanic, or communicator. Prior military experience within the Stryker Combat Vehicle community as an operator, mechanic, or communicator. Preferred graduates of Instructor Development Course (IDC) and or Curriculum Developers Course (CDC). Prior Formal Learning Center experience is a plus.
