JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting student development. Instructors will teach LEGO based enrichment classes after school at various school sites.ABOUT YOU
You enjoy playing with LEGOs and teaching children in a professional, but fun manner. You are a responsible, energetic, and motivated self-starter with an aptitude for enriching and guiding children through problem solving and advanced concepts. You prefer a flexible schedule that works with you. Teach enrichment classes at various school sites using our custom kit and curriculum. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a strong educational community. Maintain equipment on a regular basis - this includes charging small laptops and sorting the kits on a weekly basis at home. Experience Must have a valid state issued Identification. Must have a smart phone. Must be tech savvy - able to use Google Calendar, email, text, navigation, troubleshoot technical issues, and have basic knowledge of Windows-based computers. Must be willing to be fingerprinted, background-checked and TB tested . Must be willing to use Uber/Lyft if you don't have a car. (Ride expenses might be reimbursed). Must have a GED. Must be responsible and committed with excellent communication skills.DESIRED EXPERIENCE
(any of the following areas)- Fundamental understanding of mechanisms (gears, pulleys, motors, levers etc)
- Teaching / Instructing (summer camps, day care, after school programs)
- Robotics (LEGO specific or otherwise)
