You will work with students learning to drive and studying to obtain their DC driver's license. Our ideal candidate can effectively communicate, provide on the spot corrections, can remain calm and in control in high stress situations, give constructive feedback to each student, and has proficient familiarity of the DC area. In this role, you will facilitate hands-on driving with students behind the wheel, monitoring their progress and helping them put driving concepts into practice. You should be an experienced driver yourself, with the ability to exhibit patience and follow the rules of driving. We may need driving instructors who can speak English as well as Spanish. $25 per hour lesson. Each lesson is normally 2 hours Driving Instructor Duties and Responsibilities Provide behind-the-wheel driving lessons for students Create lesson plans for behind the wheel driving Provide "Road Test Preparation" courses Evaluate students progress, providing feedback as needed Communicate with clients or students' parents as needed Driving Instructor Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate 27 years or older Relevant driver's license Strong teaching and communication skills Clean driving record Spanish and English speaking preferred Ability to pass a criminal history background check and driving record check
