Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive driver training sessions for adult learners, focusing on safe driving practices and regulatory compliance Conduct behind-the-wheel instruction for various vehicle types, including trucks and tractor-trailers, emphasizing air brake and tanker operations Assess student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance their driving skills Ensure all training activities adhere to federal safety standards and company policies Maintain accurate records of training sessions, student performance, and certification documentation Prepare learners for licensing exams by reinforcing theoretical knowledge and practical skills Pass federal background checks to meet regulatory requirements for instructor eligibility Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, including truck driving and tractor-trailer operation Strong knowledge of air brake systems, tanker operations, and other specialized vehicle features Teaching or adult education experience with classroom or behind-the-wheel instruction preferred Familiarity with CDL (Commercial Driver's License) regulations and testing procedures Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse audiences Ability to demonstrate patience, clarity, and motivation during training sessions Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial vehicle operation and transportation regulations Embark on a fulfilling career that combines your passion for driving with the joy of teaching others!
