In this dynamic role, you will combine classroom instruction with safe and reliable transportation services for young children enrolled in our preschool program. Your passion for early childhood development, combined with your driving skills, will help create a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners' lives while ensuring their safety and well-being during transit and classroom activities. Duties Safely operate a school vehicle to transport children to and from the preschool facility, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that support early childhood development, literacy education, and preschool readiness Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns, maintaining transparency and trust Assist in classroom activities such as lesson planning, child development instruction, and supporting special education or early intervention needs Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies during daily interactions with children Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and classroom environment, including conducting routine safety checks and first aid as needed Requirements • 45 hours childcare certification • Bilingual a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating school or daycare vehicles preferred Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare experience Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies Certification in first aid and CPR required; ongoing training in child welfare and safety protocols preferred Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners Familiarity with curriculum development.
