Lead Instructor•$45/hour, Assistant Instructor•$25/hour Primary Purpose An HHF instructor is responsible for delivering the course material in a clear and effective manner while fostering increased confidence and capability in our students. Essential Duties and Expectations Ensure all key objectives, curriculum, and agendas for each class type are followed and successfully delivered Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate activities that reinforce and deepen students' understanding of the material Respond to student questions and provide ongoing support to promote academic success Accurately record student attendance, collect course surveys, and manage card distribution as required Ensure all equipment is picked up and dropped off, used appropriately, and returned in good condition Qualifications and Skills Demonstrated expertise in the subject area being taught Understanding of learning theories and a variety of instructional methods Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present course material Effective listening and observational skills to identify when students may need additional support Proficiency with computers, including presentation and scheduling software to bid for classes Ability to troubleshoot basic technology, including connecting and operating iPads, computers, speakers, TVs, and presentation systems, and ensuring audio/visual functionality Ability to accurately track and report hours in accordance with company guidelines For the first session, arrive at least 30 minutes early to ensure all equipment and technology are set up and functioning properly Ability to work collaboratively with staff and other instructors Strong leadership and classroom management skills Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Experience and Requirements Preferred one to two years of teaching or instructional experience Experience working with youth and/or diverse communities and learning needs Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 lbs without injury. Must be able to stand for extended periods Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation Must be able to pass a background check and DOE Harm to Students Registry check Additional Information May require travel for equipment pick-up and drop-off; mileage reimbursement provided in accordance with company policy.
