Job Description

Missouri Valley Line Instructor Duties and Responsibilities
  • Instruct and train apprentices with the proper information and material needed to successfully complete the program.
  • Teach, counsel and mentor all students to uphold the Code of Excellence.
  • Ensure a safe and pleasant learning environment for the students.
  • Advise students on program details, rules and expectations.
  • Prepare, administer and grade written and practical evaluations.
  • Enter required grades, certifications, PATs & notes into MoValley tracking system.
  • Provide individualized tutorial/remedial instructions as necessary.
  • Achieve 36 - 40 student contact hours per week.
  • Manage week-long class tool / equipment care and placement.
  • Maintain the overall appearance of individual classrooms and labs.
  • Attend scheduled meetings as requested.
  • Inspect, repair and maintain the pole yard and indoor labs.
  • Support other departments as needed and complete duties as assigned.
  • Help promote the program through outreach at job fairs and industry events.
  • Abide by and document all company Lock-out Tag-out procedures. Training and Certification
  • Attend Instructor development classes and maintain all certifications needed to instruct apprentices and journey level workers including OSHA 20, First Aid, CPR, CDL & EICA.
  • Attend and graduate from the National Training Institute (4-year program)
Requirements:
Must have completed an accredited union line or substation apprenticeship
Pay:
From $168,000.00 per year
