Survival Swim Instructor - Professional Part-Time Position Little Fish Survival Swim - Boise, Idaho $42/hour after training Paid training: $20/hour Approximately 4-6 hours/week to start Tuesday & Thursday afternoons, approximately 4:00-6:00 PM, with potential Monday hours Little Fish Survival Swim is an established, growing survival swim program looking for a mature, dependable professional to join our team. This is not a typical part-time swim instructor position. We are looking for someone interested in learning a highly specialized skill and developing a long-term role with our program. Because of continued growth and an increasing waitlist, we need to train an additional instructor to take on their own students. Why this position is unique Once fully trained and teaching independently, instructors earn $42 per teaching hour . The position begins with approximately 4 -6 teaching hours per week , primarily Tuesday and Thursday afternoons between 4:00-6:00 PM, with the potential to add Monday afternoons and additional hours as your student schedule grows. This can be an excellent opportunity for a professional who wants to earn $1,000-$1,500+ per month working only two afternoons per week , with the potential to earn considerably more as hours expand. Paid Professional Training Previous survival swim teaching experience is not required . The right candidate will receive approximately two months of hands-on paid training at $20/hour , working directly with an instructor with more than 26 years of survival swim teaching experience. This is an intensive apprenticeship where you will learn how to safely and effectively teach infants and young children critical swimming and water-survival skills. After successfully completing training and demonstrating the ability to teach independently, compensation increases to $42/hour . Who We're Looking For We are particularly interested in candidates with professional experience in areas such as: Teaching or education Swimming or aquatics Personal training, fitness or coaching Child development or childcare Occupational or physical therapy Healthcare Youth sports or other professional work with children However, the right personality, professionalism and willingness to learn are more important than having a specific background. You should be dependable, mature, confident, patient and comfortable communicating with parents . Working with infants and young children in the water requires excellent judgment, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and confident.

Our families reserve recurring weekly lesson times, so we are looking for someone who can commit to a dependable long-term schedule. Our lessons are short, highly individualized and focused on developing confident, capable swimmers.
