If you said yes to any or all of those and have at least 2 years or more verifiable experience driving Class A combination vehicles and have an active interest in training new students to become productive / SAFE operators, we need to meet. NO training experience required! We will teach you what you need to know and how to instruct our students with our Train the Trainer program that all new hires go through. Commercial Driver School (cdstruckschool.com) - CDS - is a State Certified Vocational school with an exceptional reputation. We are a well established company with a great team. We are the largest CDL school in the Northwest with five locations and over 1,200 local companies that hire our graduates. We are looking for an instructor with the following qualifications.

• Want to make a difference!
• Smoking is not allowed on campus, in the vehicles and you must not smell of smoke at any time including your clothes.
• Able to communicate clearly and calmly.
• Have a positive and motivating attitude.
• Be able to learn new things, and then convey those in an authoritative manner to the students.
• Have patience and understand that new students need to build confidence through proper training and mature guidance.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet student's varying needs, abilities, and interests.
• Observe and evaluate student's work to determine progress and make suggestions for improvement. We work as a group to help students.
• Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as stories, discussions and demonstrations.
• Be flexible because there is some weekend work and OT from time to time. These are on a volunteer basis first.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Have your current med card and CDL Class A (preferably with a P endorsement too)
• Be prepared to pass a full background check and all DOT and FMCSA requirements.

Before any job offer can be made you will take a DOT drug screen and a Road test with one of our instructors. You will need to provide your DOT medical card, and a current driving record. We train from 7 am to Midnight in shifts. Typical shifts are 8 ½ hours with a ½ hour lunch. Pay is $46,000- $55,000 annually plus bonuses.
