Job Description

Summit Commercial Driver's Training is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced CDL School Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of commercial driving regulations and practices. As a CDL School Instructor, you will be responsible for preparing students to pass their CDL exams and become safe, competent commercial drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct classroom instruction on CDL theory and safety regulations. Provide hands-on driving training in various types of commercial vehicles. Assess students' driving skills and knowledge through tests and evaluations. Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state and federal requirements. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance. Ensure all training equipment and vehicles are in good working condition. Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their skills. Stay updated on the latest industry standards and regulations. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Qualifications:
Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements. Minimum of [X] years of commercial driving experience. Previous experience as a CDL instructor preferred. Strong knowledge of state and federal CDL regulations. Excellent communication and instructional skills. Patience and the ability to work with students of varying skill levels. Ability to maintain a safe and professional training environment. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and lesson planning.
