Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Under supervision of the Lead Instructor, the Instructor is responsible for conducting training classes at the BP Whiting Refinery facility. Performs all work in accordance with established training, safety, and operational procedures. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but the company may identify other duties for this position. These responsibilities may differ depending on business necessities and client requirements.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent 1-2 years related work experience Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to teach and train others Strong customer service skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Must have reliable transportation to/from the work site. Valid driver's license preferred. As a condition of employment, must be able to successfully complete a criminal background investigation, drug screen, and a post-offer physical.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Utilize clear and appropriate communication skills while providing information to others. Displays courteous, respectful, and professional interactions with the public and customers at all times. Provide subject expertise to appropriate trainees concerning the applicable information. Coordinate and/or conduct training, including on-the-job training, for the workforce in accordance with the requirements of the contract and other applicable guidelines. Conduct New Hire Orientation Safety Center Training (To include Safety Center Crew PTW, Isolation, and Hazard Awareness Identification). Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments. Deliver refresher trainings. Deliver ½ day training to trainees not working under a permit. Deliver special a la carte sessions. Conduct CBT and management trainings. Works safely and complies with all company/client safety and risk management policies and procedures. Willingness to be trained and able to fill-in, on occasion, at select classes in the absence of the regularly scheduled instructor. Willingness to perform other duties as required.BENEFITS
