Professor Egghead Science Academy is a place where we do science. We get our hands messy, we build, mix, experiment, and we learn. We provide simple, real world explanations… which translates to real learning. Our mission is to bring science to everyone. That's represented through our motto: Make Science Accessible, Understandable, and Cool Everyone can be a scientist. Your home is your laboratory, your school is your laboratory, and so is the beach, your backyard, and even your bedroom. The key to our specialized curriculum is that it's designed to engage kids in a short period of time while still leaving them with a concrete understanding of important scientific and engineering concepts and ideas. In this fast-paced world of high-speed everything, we value high quality in-person interactions to produce a new generation of thinkers and a community engaged with science.

WHAT WE DO

Love working with kids and having a blast? Professor Egghead Science Academy is an awesome after school program that makes science accessible, understandable, and fun for Kids ages 5-10. Most Summer Camp programs generally run between 3 hours or 6 hours Monday

• Friday.

We run hands-on science classes, camps, workshops, and birthday parties for children at different locations all over California. We're looking for AWESOME and

REQUIREMENTS

1) Be FUN, have lots of ENERGY, and be

POSITIVE.

Improv Actors and those with outgoing personalities are perfect. 2) Have experience working with children in a group setting. 3) Have a consistently reliable way to get to and from job sites in a timely manner and transport materials (usually in a 2 x 3ft rolling bin). 4) Be able to commit to the full week (M-F) throughout Summer. There is always potential to continue to the next season in our regular after school programs. Must be able to commit to an entire semester of sessions; which is approximately 2-3 months depending on area and season: Winter (January-March); Spring (March-June); Summer (June

• August); Fall (September-December). 5) Pass a background check. You DO NOT need any background in science, just a great attitude, a natural curiosity and the ability to work well with children. We train you and training is paid! For this specific Summer program you must have general availability all weekdays Monday-Friday from 11:30am-5pm (5.5 hrs on campus every day) .
• Our weekly camps run approximately 4.5hrs every day with 1 hour dedicated to class prep and cleanup time. The program will run Monday-Friday (5days/week). We are looking for a regular camp instructor and a Substitute Instructor for this Summer Program.
• If hired for a Substitute role in this specific area, you must have general availability M-F as noted above to act as a potential Substitute in the afterschool program.

A substitute role does not have a specific schedule or guarantee of hours as the position is dependent upon covering when another Professor is not able to make it to their scheduled lesson(s) that day. However, there is always opportunity to transition into a regular role should sessions become available. If you meet all requirements, please apply with your resume. Pay:

Each camp pays based on if it runs full day camps (5.5 hours) or half day camps (3 hours) with an expectation of arrival of no less than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time on campus in order to allow time to park and other preparation needs. All training is paid at a base hourly rate of $25, and all materials and curriculum will be provided to you. The overall camp pay breakdown is below for easy reference: 5.5hr camp days = $960/week; 1130-5pm M-F ($192.50/day); which breaks down to $35/hr
