8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday (May 26 - August 12)

In-person | Omaha, NE 68111 General Purpose The Program Educator/Driver works directly with girls ages 5 to 18, delivering engaging programs and supervising activities to support the Girls Inc.
mission:
"Inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold." Positions available at both the North and South Omaha centers. Essential Functions Program Delivery Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in subjects such as literacy, science, math, arts & crafts, and physical fitness. Read, comprehend, and effectively implement various lesson plans. Encourage curiosity, celebrate achievements, and build confidence in girls. Classroom and Program Management Maintain a welcoming and safe space for all girls. Use positive communication and effective classroom management strategies. Collaborate with staff to address challenges and manage behaviors. Serve as a role model in communication, social skills, and conflict resolution. Safety and Supervision Assist with safety procedures and drills. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment. Participate in all required safety trainings. Support girls during mealtimes and assist with sanitizing high-touch areas. Transportation Safely operate agency vehicles, including 15-passenger vans and mini-buses. Pick up girls from school and transport them to field trips and activities. Ensure girls follow safety rules during transportation. Maintain open communication with supervisors regarding any transportation concerns. A valid driver's license is required; driving is an essential function of this role. Administrative Responsibilities Complete necessary program documentation (e.g., attendance sheets, outcome reports). Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions. Provide classroom or program support as needed, including coverage and substitute roles. Marginal Functions Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications As Required by
Nebraska Daycare Licensing:
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria: High School Diploma and a positive reference verifying 1,500 clock hours of experience working with youth; College diploma and/or transcripts showing 3 credit hours in early childhood education, education, or youth development; High School Diploma and a written plan to complete 45 clock hours of training within 6 months of hire.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass all required background checks. Must relate well to children; experience in structured youth programs is preferred. Must be 21 years old (preferred). Must hold a valid Nebraska driver's license and meet insurance requirements for driving. Preferred Experience & Certifications 1+ year of childcare experience CPR Certification (preferred) Equipment & Software Use Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel) Classroom materials and teaching supplies Agency vehicles for transportation (15-passenger van or mini-bus) Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Ability to lift 15-20 lbs Clear hearing and vision High energy and enthusiasm for working with children Willingness to work indoors and outdoors
