A Driving Instructor is responsible for teaching students the rules of the road and the safe way to handle an automobile or motorcycle. This may involve both classroom and/or behind the wheel instruction. They are required to remain up to date with their regional and national traffic laws to insure proper curriculum and demonstration. Some inform their students on the process to obtain a valid driver's license in their region or nation.

Job Description

We're looking for part time Driving School Instructors to join our Team! Hours of your choosing - some weekend time required. In this role, the candidate must have (or we will assist you in obtaining) the required NJ Instructor license; as well as be able to:
  • Instruct students on proper driving techniques in an effort to pass state driving road test.
  • Keep detailed and accurate reports of driving sessions as mandated by the Motor Vehicle Commission.
  • Plan and adapt to develop students' capabilities on an individual basis
  • Adhere to all legal requirements and maintain all licensing requirements.
The candidate must have a NJ Drivers License, be over 25 years of age, have strong written and oral communication skills, have a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, a valid NJ driver's license and pass a criminal record investigation. After 90 day probationary period -rate of pay goes to $22.50 per lesson hour. Teaching/tutoring/coaching experience is a plus!
