Security Training Instructor (STI) Summary KR Contracting is hiring for the positions of STI- Security Training Instructor. The trainer must be an individual of unquestionable integrity who displays a mature attitude and exercises good judgment. Key Responsibilities Conducts screenings to maintain awareness and technical proficiency necessary for instruction. Manages and delivers training materials while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding training issues that may indicate security-screening weaknesses or vulnerabilities. Must be screener-certified and meet all recurrent training, evaluation, and recertification requirements established by TSA to remain qualified for training and screening functions. Instructors shall maintain certifications for all areas they deliver training, including passenger, baggage and dual-function training. STIs must also complete annual quality assurance assessments and achieve a rating of "Meets Expectations" or higher. Supervise and guide basic students during their training period. Document both the completion and failure of students to meet minimum training standards. The Security Training Instructor (STI) must meet the following requirements: Formal instructor training from a recognized source (e.g., U.S. military, Federal training program, college/university or trade school, or private corporation). Instructor certification from a recognized instructor training program (e.g., ASTD, CTT+). Minimum of 2 years adult-learning classroom instruction experience.
