Overview Join our dedicated team as a Driver for our Day Care Center and play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable transportation of children from after school to our facility. This energetic position requires a proactive, responsible individual who is passionate about child safety and customer service. As a driver, you will be the friendly face that helps create a positive experience for children and their families while adhering to all transportation safety regulations. Your commitment to punctuality, safety, and compassionate communication will help foster a welcoming environment for our young learners. Duties Safely operate daycare bus in compliance with traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Transport children to and from their schools to the Day Care Center, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including CPR and emergency stop procedures when needed. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine safety checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with staff, and children to ensure smooth daily operations and address any special needs or behavior management concerns. Adhere to school policies regarding student discipline, behavior management, and passenger safety protocols at all times. Must complete a FBI/BCI background heck Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in school bus operation. Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and state/local commercial driving laws relevant to school and transit vehicles. Certification in first aid and CPR; training in emergency response procedures for transportation is a plus. Experience working with children or in childcare settings; ability to handle behavior management with patience and professionalism. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, and staff. Familiarity with child safety regulations, and transportation safety standards such as defensive driving and quick response to traffic changes. Must complete and pass a FBI/BCI check.
