Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver and be a vital part of our transportation network! In this energetic role, you will operate various types of vehicles, including buses and paratransit vans, to safely and efficiently transport passengers across different settings. Your dedication to excellent customer service, safety, and communication will ensure a positive experience for all riders. Whether you're driving school buses, senior care shuttles, or community transit vehicles, your skills will make a meaningful impact every day. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine driving expertise with community engagement and childcare support. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles such as buses, school buses, paratransit vans, and drivers in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers, especially children, seniors, or individuals with special needs, ensuring a comfortable and respectful environment Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, passengers, and team members using effective verbal and written skills in English or multilingual settings Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure mechanical safety of vehicles and report any issues promptly Manage behavior and enforce safety policies among passengers to promote a secure environment Assist with boarding and alighting procedures for children or individuals requiring special assistance Keep accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and incident reports for operational efficiency Experience Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus driving or paratransit services Proven experience in bus driving, commercial driving, or school bus operation Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities Experience working with children, seniors, or individuals needing childcare support is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively in a dynamic environment Prior experience in customer service or teaching roles that require patience and clear communication Join us to drive positive change through safe transportation! Pay:
$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
