Driver Trainer / Instructor - Flexible Schedule (Graham & Puyallup) We are currently adding Driver Trainers to our team to support continued growth in our driver education program. This position is ideal for individuals who are comfortable working with teens and adults, enjoy coaching, and can remain calm and professional in a learning environment. Applicants from public safety, military, coaching, or teaching backgrounds tend to excel in this role—but those with strong people skills are encouraged to apply.

Position Overview Location:

Graham & Puyallup, WA Hours:

10-40 per week Schedule includes evenings and weekends Combination of in-car instruction and occasional classroom support Compensation Starting at $25/hour after state certification Opportunities for additional pay incentives Paid sick leave (where applicable) What You'll Be Doing Coaching new drivers during on-road training sessions Reinforcing safe driving habits and decision-making Supporting structured lesson plans provided by the school Working with both teen and adult learners Maintaining a professional and safety-focused environment Training Provided We guide you through the certification process required by the state. Structured onboarding and mentorship included Training consists of a mix of self-paced learning, classroom exposure, and in-vehicle observation Applicants with qualifying backgrounds may be eligible for reduced training requirements . Basic Qualifications Valid driver's license with at least 5 years of driving experience Responsible driving history Ability to communicate clearly and professionally Willingness to work weekend shifts High school diploma or equivalent Work Environment This is an active, hands-on role —not a desk job You'll spend time both in a vehicle with students and occasionally in a classroom setting Vehicles and curriculum are provided Who Should Apply Individuals seeking part-time or full-time flexible work Those transitioning from structured careers (military, public service, etc.) People who enjoy teaching, mentoring, or coaching others Candidates looking for meaningful, community-based work Additional Details Work is performed at multiple training locations This is an in-person role (not remote) Apply to be considered for upcoming training classes.
