Responsibilities Safely operate buses, vans, or specialized vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company policies Transport passengers, including children, seniors, or individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and mechanical functionality before each journey Communicate effectively with passengers, team members, and dispatchers using clear English or bilingual communication skills Manage behavior and ensure proper conduct of passengers during transit through behavior management techniques Assist with loading and unloading passengers or cargo as needed, providing excellent customer service throughout the trip Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and safety checks for record-keeping and regulatory compliance Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport (e.g., P endorsement for passenger vehicles) Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving roles, especially with school bus driving or paratransit services Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and mechanical troubleshooting to address minor issues promptly Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends as required Experience working with children or providing childcare is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and patience when working with diverse populations Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively in group settings and maintain a safe environment during transit Join us in delivering safe, reliable transportation services that make a difference!
