Commercial Drivers License Driver - Class B

Overview We are seeking a professional and reliable Commercial Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to customer service. Prior experience with tree service trucks/chippers are valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate mechanical knowledge and maintenance skills to ensure vehicle safety and performance. Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles according to traffic laws and company policies Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, seating, and inquiries Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues promptly Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal operation Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers using clear language and professional communication skills Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks when necessary, including minor repairs or troubleshooting mechanical problems Follow all safety protocols to ensure passenger safety and compliance with transportation regulations Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type Proven experience in commercial driving Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting Experience with paratransit services or motor coach operations is a plus Strong communication skills in English and Spanish for effective interaction with passengers and team members Ability to operate various transportation vehicles safely and responsibly Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and transportation industry standards Reliable driving record with a clean background check and ability to pass drug screening if required
