This dual-role position offers the exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students while ensuring their safe transportation to and from school. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and a valid commercial driver's license with school bus driving experience. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a positive learning environment and contribute to the safety and well-being of our students every day. Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective classroom instruction tailored to students' age and developmental levels, fostering a love for learning. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques, creating a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Safely operate school buses, adhering to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and schedules to transport students reliably. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the bus, ensuring mechanical safety and readiness before each route. Communicate clearly with students, parents, staff, and transportation coordinators to coordinate schedules and address concerns. Assist students with boarding, disembarking, and any special needs or childcare requirements during transit. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, route logs, safety checks, and incident reports as needed. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience working with children or in childcare settings; patience and excellent behavior management skills are essential. Valid commercial driver's license prior experience in school bus driving is highly preferred. Proven ability in bus driving, including knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance basics. Strong communication skills in English. Exceptional customer service skills to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively while maintaining safety standards. Multilingual skills are desirable to support our diverse student body; previous teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage.
