Salt Lake Area, and Bountiful The Child's Element Holladay, UT Job Details Part-time $17 - $18 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications CPR Certification Outdoor work experience First Aid Certification Performing background checks First aid and CPR Full Job Description Child's Element provides solely outdoor programs for children, including "Mindful Forest Preschool" for ages 2.5-6yr olds, year-round, with a few classes in the Salt Lake Area, and Bountiful. We are seeking Substitute Teachers, to teach as needed. Our regular teachers are scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 8:30-12:30 Subs would receive a notification in our Discord Server of days needing covered, picking up the classes they'd like to sub for.
Teacher:
child ratio is no more than 1 : 5 ½ on a regular basis. Two instructor positions per 11 children maximum. If interested in a longer term position with our Summer Camp, and/or future school years, there is potential for that. Teachers are required to be prepared with their own outdoor clothing/gear for warmth and comfort for all types of weather (we do not hold classes when weather becomes dangerous) We are looking for people to join the team who are passionate about the outdoors, confident and ready to jump in, confident in parent/teacher communication and relationships, find joy in connecting with children, and who are reliable with their position responsibilities, prompt with arrival times for classes. All teaching positions are meant for those who can bring their own skills and talents to the team, however, supplies are provided by Child's Element. Holding a regular teaching position on our team, you understand that some supplies will need to be stored in your vehicle, or in your home on a day-to-day basis, and brought with you. Substitutes are not required to keep or store any supplies. A position-overview meeting with the Director will be scheduled upon hire, usually lasts about 1.5-2 hours. This position is part time, 0-20 hours a week, for substitutes, 16-20 hours for regular teachers. CPR/First aid for Infants, Children, and Adults is required for all teachers prior to your first day.
