Dorsey, MD University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site at Dorsey, MD, for the Finance and Economics program. Specifically, we are seeking faculty for the following course(s): Principles of Macroeconomics (ECON 201): An introductory study of the macroeconomy. The objective is to apply select macroeconomic theories to real-world situations. Discussion covers economic growth, technological innovation, unemployment, inflation, and the roles of monetary policy and fiscal policy in determining macroeconomic performance. Principles of Microeconomics (ECON 203): An analysis of the economic principles underlying the behavior of individual consumers and business firms. The goal is to apply select microeconomic theories to real-world situations. Emphasis is on market theory. Topics include the implications of government intervention, technological innovation, the advantages and disadvantages of different market structures, and income distribution and poverty. Required Education and Experience Master's degree in Finance or Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning Professional experience in Economics / Finance or related field Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred This position is specifically to teach on-site at Dorsey, MD, Preferred Education and Experience Terminal degree in Finance or Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning Certified Management Accountant certification Materials Needed for Submission Resume / Curriculum Vitae Cover Letter highly preferred If selected, candidates with international degrees may be required to submit a translation/degree evaluation from a NACES approved vendor.
