Job Description

Posting Details Position Information Position Title School of Education Position Summary The Dr. Bonnie G. Metcalf School of Education is accepting applications for a pool of adjunct faculty for its various programs and courses. This posting is for our Adjunct Faculty Pool and does not represent a current open position. When instructional needs arise, we will review submitted applications and contact qualified candidates accordingly. Pay Range Qualifications Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree and a current California teaching credential (Multiple-subjects, Single-subject, PK/TK, administrative and/or Education Specialist); a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience with diverse student populations in a K-12 public school system; mentoring, coaching, or supervising teachers; knowledge of current California Common Core Standards; knowledge of how to support diversity in society and current context of public schools. Additional qualifications include exceptional communication and networking skills; proficiency in Office software applications; demonstrated teaching success with diverse student populations; demonstration of effective professional practices in teaching and learning, scholarship and service; experience in supervising or mentoring pre-service teachers; knowledge of and experience in current education reform efforts, such as Common Core Standards in Mathematics, Common Core Standards in Literacy in Science, Next Generation Science Standards and English Language Arts/English Language Development Framework; and, knowledge of and experience in teacher performance assessment (edTPA); experience with integrating technology in classroom curriculum; and, experience with developing and maintaining relationships with schools and districts in the Inland region.
