D in Child and Family Studies or related field; degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and service sufficient to merit rank of Associate Professor or Professor with tenure Demonstrated record of administrative and leadership experience in an academic community, including budgetary experience; time management and scheduling; conflict resolution; and advocacy for an academic unit Demonstrated ability to champion the disciplines within the department Evidence of familiarity with relevant accreditations and governing bodies within the department Demonstrated success with scholarly research Demonstrated commitment to collaboration, partnerships, and collegiality with a variety of stakeholders including internal university community Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of faculty morale and enthusiasm Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills As a public regional university (with a graduate mission), Southeast seeks candidates with a commitment to excellent undergraduate (and graduate) education and student success within the framework of the teacher-scholar model. Successful candidates will contribute to the development of innovative curricula and delivery strategies, including traditional, blended and online formats, and participate in initiatives promoting student success, retention and degree completion.

The department has 9 full-time faculty and over 400 majors at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department of Child and Family Studies offers one associate's degree in Childcare and Guidance; three baccalaureate programs including Child Development, Family Studies, and Family and Consumer Sciences Education; and one graduate certificate in Trauma and Resiliency. The Department provides experiential and field-based programs, with faculty actively engaged in university and community programs. The department works closely with centers on and off campus to provide students with the experiential learning opportunities they crave. More information is available at .
