Job Description:
Northeastern State University's College of Education is seeking applicants to serve as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Adjunct faculty would be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in programs such as elementary education, special education, early childhood education, reading, and teacher education. Teaching assignments are not guaranteed each semester and will be assigned on an as-needed basis. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Teach one or more courses (in-person, online, or hybrid) on the Broken Arrow or Tahlequah campuses. Teach assigned courses in accordance with the approved curriculum and departmental guidelines. Prepare and deliver engaging course materials that foster student learning and professional growth. Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and other evaluative measures. Maintain regular communication with students and provide timely, constructive feedback. Collaborate with program coordinators and faculty to ensure alignment with program outcomes and accreditation standards. Adhere to university policies, procedures, and academic integrity standards.
Education Requirements Required:
Master's degree in Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution. A minimum of three years of experience teaching in a PK-12 classroom. Current teaching license.
Preferred:
Doctorate in Education or related field. Prior teaching experience at the college or university level. Current or recent experience working in PK-12 classrooms, higher education, or other educational settings. Annual salary $800.00 per credit hour.
