- McKinney, TX College/Division College of Education Department/School Curriculum And Instruction Position Description The Department of Curriculum and Instruction seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach Bilingual-Bicultural Education, Early Childhood Education, Educational Technology, Elementary Education, Middle Level Education, Postsecondary Student Success, Reading Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, and Talent Development.
Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos campus, Round Rock campus, Collin College (McKinney, TX), PK-12 school/school district field sites, and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department. This posting is for the 2026-2027 academic year. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises. All positions are subject to availability of funds. Required Qualifications Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience is preferred.
