Job Description

The Work-Study student for the Student Success Office provides front-office support and helps create a welcoming, organized environment for students, faculty, and staff. This position serves as a first point of contact for students visiting the Student Success Office and assists with basic questions, appointing scheduling, and campus navigation. The student assistant will work closely with Student Success advisors and faculty to support student advising and degree-planning needs. This position is ideal for a dependable, organized student who enjoys helping others and contributing to student success. The Work-Study student is expected to maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere at the front of the office. The student should be dependable, punctual, respectable, and willing to take initiative when assisting students and staff. Students in this position are expected to protect confidential information, following University policies and office procedures, and communicate questions or concerns to a Student Success advisor or supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Manage the front desk and greet students, faculty, staff, and visitors Assist students with scheduling appointments with Student Success advisors Record student requests and messages when advisors are unavailable Direct students to the appropriate advisor, department, office, or campus resource Assist students with locating classrooms, offices, and other campus facilities Work with faculty and advisors to update and organize student degree plans Help maintain accurate and organized degree-planning materials and records Organize and maintain the Student Success Office foyer and waiting area Ensure informational materials, flyers, forms, and resources in the foyer are current and organized Assist students with basic questions about Student Success services and campus resources Help prepare materials for advising events, student workshops, and office programs Assist with student check-in and sign-in procedures for office events and appointments Support the Student Success Office with filing, copying, scanning, data entry, and other administrative tasks Help distribute important student communications and informational materials Assist advisors and Student Success staff with special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
