Administrative Salary Schedule Victory Schools is looking for passionate and dedicated Assistant Principals to join our Sun City West Campus. This is an exciting opportunity to lead in diverse educational settings and help guide our students to success, whether in specialized programs or general education settings.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Principal will support the Principal in overseeing the daily operations of the school. The Assistant Principal will provide leadership in academic programming, student discipline, staff support, and school climate. You will collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to create an environment that fosters student growth and success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Principal with the daily operations of the school. Support the development and implementation of the school's academic programs and curriculum. Conduct regular classroom observations and provide feedback to staff to enhance instructional quality. Help maintain school-wide discipline and create a positive, inclusive school climate. Collaborate with leadership to establish school goals and review student achievement data. Guide staff in lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment of student progress. Assist in the recruitment, selection, and evaluation of school staff. Support the planning and execution of professional development opportunities for teachers and staff. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative and positive school environment. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and district regulations and policies. Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the academic planning for students as needed. Help coordinate and supervise school events, activities, and functions. Ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors. Supervise emergency drills and assist with crisis management planning. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of Victory Schools' policies and state/federal education laws. Experience with either special education programming (ESS). Ability to support instructional leadership and academic excellence in ESS settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities. Ability to develop positive relationships with students, staff, and the community. Skills in classroom management and behavioral intervention. Proficiency in educational technology and assessment software.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or a related field. At least two years of teaching or leadership experience in an educational setting. Prior experience working with either special education students or general education students, depending on the program.
Other Requirements:
Arizona Certification as an Assistant Principal. Must pass a fingerprint and background clearance check. Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona driver's license. Ability to lift and carry materials up to 20 pounds. Must be able to complete CPR, First Aid, and Non-violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training. Ability to work outside normal working hours and travel for school events.
