Job Description Summary The Academic Success Center (ASC) provides academic support across all majors and disciplines with the goal of helping students become engaged, self-sufficient learners who are confident in their abilities to reach their goals. ASC Service Coordinators work to provide an approachable, nurturing environment within the Academic Success Center. Their goal is to ensure all visitors feel welcomed, supported, and aware of ASC services provided for the campus community. During their shifts, Service Coordinators manage the ASC email account, answer the phone, ensure all appointments are running smoothly, monitor student employee presence in the space, and perform special projects such as organizing supplies, performing class visits, assisting ASC professional staff, and anything else to ensure effective ASC operations and customer service. Specific Duties Monitor ASC Tutoring and Academic Coaching scheduling and appointments, ensuring appointments are booked appropriately and running smoothly Answer the ASC phone line and respond to and monitor the ASC email account, performing customer service for the ASC. In addition, point visitors to the correct professional staff members and/or units within the shared suite (Academic Advising, Admissions). Ensure that student employees are on time for their shifts and appointments, are in the correct spaces, and are working on their deligated tasks. Track and report late arrivals and/or no shows using established departmental procedures. Organize, clean, and monitor the ASC space, including the ASC supply closet. Perform inventory of supplies and make recommendations for supplies that need to be purchased. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and/or ASC professional staff Minimum Qualifications Communication skills: interact effectively with others, both written and verbally Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Project management skills and accountability Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with services offered by the Academic Success Center. Benefits Summary Employees are eligible for the following benefits: One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
