Department:
International Students Office Function :
The office Assistant works under the supervision of the office manager and the director to fulfill the duties outlined below.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide excellent service to customers (students, faculty, staff, and community members) who visit the office of International students. Assist in maintaining and submitting insurance documentations. Assist in processing immigration paperwork, filing, and database support. Perform routine office tasks as assigned, such as filing, email communications, making copies/scanning. Answer phones and take efficient messages Assist with the coordination of special events, workshops, and orientations. Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills :
Ability to work well with people of all backgrounds, races, religions, and genders; ability to focus on details and think creatively; strong clerical skills 9filing and typing); computer skills (PC preferred, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, & Banner); efficient and effective verbal and non-verbal skills; bilingual abilities are highly preferred; must be reliable, accurate, flexible, and work well both independently and as a team player.
Physical/Mental Demands :
Challenging, dynamic, and fast paced office environment that can be stressful at times due to the number and diversity of students visiting the many departments. Director encourages a fun, friendly, spiritual and supportive atmosphere for all employees. Physical labor is minimal.
Wage Range:
$16.90/hr
