05/15/2026 At the present time, vacancies exist for Summer Student Support Specialists within the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU. Currently, there are multiple openings working with pre-k, elementary, middle, and/or high school-aged students, and supporting English Language Learners and/or academic support students. These positions are temporary for the duration of the summer ONLY. Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred Experience working with the applicable age group preferred Must have Act 33 and 34 clearances and federal criminal history background check (available through CCIU upon hire) Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Duties & Responsibilities:

Plan and implement daily lessons related to student needs Provide an engaging environment designed to meet the needs of students Implement behavior management strategies that are developmentally appropriate Plan and implement a daily learning schedule that includes: Physical movement Social and emotional learning Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) activities Maintain student attendance and participation data Estimated work days and hours:

Reading School District Program Dates:

June - July (TBD) Mon - Thurs, 11:45-4:15pm (students from 12-4pm) No program on Fridays

Training:
