Collaboratively creates and implements the comprehensive vision and strategic plan for elementary mathematics in partnership with school-based team members, the schools team, and other academic departments. Creates and facilitates professional learning for school and district leaders aligned to the implementation of high quality instructional materials as part of a year-long scope and sequence of professional learning. Develops the capacity of district math coaches to provide exemplary customer service and professional learning opportunities to schools on equitable and linguistically responsive instruction, curriculum and assessment in elementary mathematics. Develops partnerships with the schools team to ensure impactful deployment of the district math coaches to provide effective support across the district. Collaboratively implements the district assessment strategy and regularly analyzes data to inform the strategic plan for elementary mathematics. Manages the procurement and implementation of district-wide curricular resources in elementary mathematics. Builds a strong team culture grounded in district values, establishes clear expectations, monitors progress, and holds team members accountable to team goals.What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Education or relevant subject area Master's Degree Education or relevant subject area preferred Four or more years of teaching experience in elementary mathematics including three years experience coaching teachers Previous experience working in an urban district with Multilingual Learners Knowledge of best practices in curriculum instruction, standards-based education, and effective instructional programs and methodologies Commitment to lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team Excellent interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive manner Ability to multi-task and juggle management of several high-priority projects in parallel Valid Colorado Driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage, and an acceptable driving record for the past three years. Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us. Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
