Job Description:
Summary:
All employees of Parker Performing Arts School will work together to achieve our school's vision and mission. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed below, we seek an Office Assistant who can provide services for administration, teachers, parents and visitors. The Office Assistant will work directly with the Office Manager for all front office operations of the school. The Office Assistant will be collaborative with colleagues and is willing to work above and beyond their job description in order to ensure success for administration, teachers and students. Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reception desk, including greeting and visitor check in
  • Provide services for parents, school employees, and visitors
  • Answer phone calls
  • Provide health room support
  • Provide lunch room supervision
  • Oversee and manage attendance reporting
  • Perform office related tasks
  • Participate in various projects for administrative staff
  • Drive and support implementation of the PPAS mission, model the tone and culture of the school and accept accountability for student achievement
  • Communicate proactively with other staff, students, and parents
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with web browsers (Chrome) and web based apps, particularly, Google Apps, Google Docs, and gmail
  • Effective communication, organizational, and delegation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • School office experience
  • Experience in creating an organization and maintaining sustainability
  • Experience with Infinite Campus
  • Experience in charter schools
Responsibilities:
Perform clerical support including: composing and editing correspondence, scheduling meetings, maintaining files, sorting mail, and photocopying. Schedule and maintain various calendars for meetings. Assist with various department projects. Prepare routine reports and/or process work orders. Maintain and update department databases. May assist with the process of various purchase order vouchers, invoices, supplies, and material inventories. May coordinate the logistics for conferences and meetings. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Answer and route telephone calls and messages to the appropriate personnel. May greet visitors to the site.

$17.80 USD - $27.45 USD Hourly All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
