05/05/2026 Saint David Catholic School in Davie, Florida, is seeking a full-time Vice Principal. The Vice Principal serves as an instructional leader, disciplinarian, and community builder who promotes the spiritual, academic, and social development of all students while upholding the mission of Saint David. This individual collaborates closely with the principal to ensure the consistent implementation of school policies, support student growth, and promote a safe, respectful, and faith-filled school community grounded in Catholic values. The Vice Principal performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include:
Support and uphold the Catholic identity and mission of Saint David Catholic School in all aspects of school life. Foster a positive school climate and student engagement initiatives. Communicate with parents regarding student behavior and school policies. Collaborate with the Principal regarding student behavior concerns. Assist in school-wide initiatives, events, and administrative duties as assigned by the Principal. Assist the Principal in the daily administration and operation of the school. Provide leadership in curriculum implementation, instructional practices, and academic accountability. Supervise and evaluate faculty, offering feedback, coaching, and professional development support. Oversee student discipline in a manner that reflects Catholic values, restorative practices, and respect for the dignity of each individual. Coordinate student academic monitoring, including intervention plans and progress tracking. Assist in the development of school schedules, policies, and procedures. Support admissions and enrollment efforts, including family communication and student screening as needed. Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and school initiatives. Help plan and support school events, liturgies, and faith-based activities. Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Principal.
Qualifications:
Master's degree required. Florida Certificate in Educational Leadership (or commensurate credential). Must obtain catechetical certification through the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire. Three years of experience within a Catholic school preferred. Ability to understand and serve diverse populations. General knowledge and understanding of rites and rituals of the Catholic Church. Knowledge and understanding of National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools. Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities. Ability to form and maintain positive relationships with multiple stakeholders (e.g. pastors, principals, teachers, families). Strong professionalism, adherence to the dress code. Skilled at fostering teamwork and working in a team. Excellent understanding of best practices in education. Possesses integrity, diligence, and dedication to the Catholic educational mission of the Archdiocese of Miami. Strong aptitude in informational and educational technology. Strong oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice. Spanish-language proficiency preferred. High-level auditory and visual acuity is necessary for monitoring safety, evaluating instruction, and interacting with staff, students, and parents. Must be able to push and occasionally lift objects weighing 25 pounds. The environment is fast-paced, with constant, high-frequency interruptions. Irregular, long hours are standard, with frequent, mandatory attendance at evening and weekend events.
