Staff the Help Desk Kiosk and assist with walk-ins, phone lines, and emails. Provide basic IT support and guidance to students, faculty, and staff using DSC resources. Log support issues using the IT HelpDesk ticketing system Assist students, faculty, and staff with smart device setup to access DSC's WI-FI and college resources. Interact with DSC administrators, faculty and staff to ensure prompt delivery of services and respond to needs under supervisor's guidance. Forward technical support walk-ins, emails or phone calls that cannot be resolved by the HelpDesk, to the appropriate IT Service Desk area/technician. Report IT related issues to supervisors as needed. Maintain proper working order and cleanliness of equipment at the HelpDesk Kiosk area. Assist Coordinator and Manager with other duties related to the position as neededKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of computers, software, operating systems, web browsers, hardware, and smart devices. Familiarity with navigation of all academic related web sites (i.e., MyDaytonaState student portal and Falcon Online). Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Excellent customer service skills Reliability is essential Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required. This position requires a criminal background screening.
