Job Description

School Interventionist The purpose of the Middle/High School Interventionist is one who takes an active role in providing engaging and meaningful support that allows all students to learn and succeed. The interventionist will be responsible for creating a management plan that allows for effective instruction. Values The core values of Divine Savior Academy are the following: Walk with

Job Responsibilities Instructional Excellence & Intervention Tiered Instruction:
Implement RTI (Response to Intervention) processes, providing strategic support based on diagnostic assessments, screenings, and teacher recommendations.
Academic Skill Development:
Assist students in developing essential academic skills pertinent to their core classes and promote a general interest in academic growth.
Elective Instruction:
Design and facilitate 2-3 elective courses per school year, fostering student engagement in specialized subject areas.
Assessment & Data:
Administer and interpret screening and progress-monitoring instruments to track student performance and guide instructional shifts.
Mission Alignment:
Execute instructional goals that reflect the educational philosophy of Divine Savior Academy through both instruction and action.
Collaborative Leadership & Management Strategic Coordination:
Work directly with the Academic Support Director and the Principal to proactively address curriculum and achievement.
Progress Monitoring:
Collaborate with classroom teachers to monitor intervention efficacy, making data-driven recommendations to continue, cease, or adjust support.
Learning Environment:
Develop a fair and orderly classroom management plan that ensures a safe, productive atmosphere for all students.
Supervision:
Exercise diligent supervision of all students and take necessary precautions to protect school facilities and materials.
Relational Ministry & Communication Christ-like Interaction:
Model a Christ-like attitude in all interactions, seeking to perform ministry through every engagement with students and families.
Stakeholder Transparency:
Keep parents and caregivers informed regarding the purpose and progress of interventions, including timely updates on results or placement changes.
Team Support:
Work effectively with colleagues to support a unified mutual ministry to the children and a positive school culture.
Administrative & Professional Standards Compliance & Records:
Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant records.
Professionalism:
Respond to all requests for information in a timely manner and stay current on professional competencies.
School Operations:
Attend staff meetings and other required events at principal discretion. Requirements Bachelor's Degree At least 3-5 years of Interventionist experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and school management software Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy in administrative work Ability to foster a positive and collaborative team environment Physical Requirements Ability to sit for long periods and work at a computer Ability to walk around School Campus Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Reports to: School Principal
