The College of Education is looking for an Admissions Officer I to join our team. The position is located in EduGator Central, the Office of Academic and Student Services in the College of Education, and will report directly to the Assistant Director of Student Services. This position provides services to prospective students and applicants to College of Education graduate programs including recruitment activities, inquiry follow-up, monitoring and processing applications, tracking and communicating admission decisions, and related data and reporting functions. These activities require working collaboratively with faculty and program coordinators, department graduate staff, student services professionals, and the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: Application Processing & Admissions Coordinate and process applications to college graduate programs and certificates, including monitoring application progress, notifying applicants of application status, preparing for admission committee and faculty review, and recording admission decision. Communicate regularly with applicants about missing materials, admission timelines and procedures. Implement standard application processing procedures in collaboration with graduate coordinators, staff, and program coordinators in each COE department/school. Manage application processing in a timely manner that is responsive to individual program admission deadlines. Communicate as needed with core UF offices that provide admission and enrollment services including Enrollment Management, Graduate School Admissions, and Registrar. Stay current regarding university and college/program policies regarding graduate application and admissions, and share relevant information with department and program staff and faculty. Recruitment Activities & Follow-up Communicate (via email and telephone) on an established schedule with prospective students to generate interest in gaining information and ing to a college graduate program and/or certificate. Answer, screen, and direct inquiries regarding college programs. Advise applicants of application procedures and requirements for program admission. Collaborate with graduate coordinators and staff in the respective departments to revise and implement communication procedures that effectively respond to prospective student needs. Assist in planning and participate in recruitment events, including college and university information sessions that are conducted on-campus, off-campus, and via video conferencing. Data Management & Reporting Manage and maintain college application and admission communications, records, and data bases. Create and disseminate regular reports of applications and admission status of applicants to program coordinators, graduate staff and coordinators. Collaborate with college data manager and other staff to update data reporting formats and procedures related to applications and admissions.Expected Salary:
$44,000-46,000Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work with frequent interruptions, and pace the work to meet deadlines. Ability to work in a busy office environment with co-workers, students, and faculty; demonstrating good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
