Position Description Elementary Principal / Assistant Principal (K5 - 5th) Position Overview Colonial Christian School, a FACCS fully accredited school, is seeking to hire an enthusiastic Secondary Principal / Assistant Principal to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities Spiritual Leadership Responsibilities Demonstrate a mature and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Model Christian character, integrity, and servant leadership in all interactions. Uphold and support the school's Statement of Faith, mission, and philosophy of Christian education. Lead faculty, staff, and students in integrating biblical worldview principles throughout all aspects of school life. Participate in and support school chapel services, prayer gatherings, and spiritual development activities. Encourage and mentor faculty in spiritual growth and biblical integration within the classroom. Foster a school culture that reflects Christ's love, grace, truth, and excellence Instructional Leadership Provide visionary leadership for the elementary academic program. Supervise curriculum implementation to ensure academic excellence and biblical integration. Conduct classroom observations and teacher evaluations. Utilize assessment data to improve student achievement and instructional effectiveness. Lead professional development initiatives that support both educational best practices and Christian worldview integration. Promote innovation while maintaining alignment with the school's mission and educational standards. Student Development & School Culture Cultivate a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered learning environment. Oversee student discipline using restorative and biblically based principles. Support students' spiritual, emotional, social, and academic growth. Build strong relationships with students and encourage Christian character development. Coordinate programs that promote leadership, service, and discipleship among students. Faculty & Staff Leadership Assist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining qualified Christian educators. Provide coaching, mentoring, and encouragement to faculty and staff. Foster a collaborative and supportive professional culture. Lead faculty meetings, committees, and instructional teams. Ensure staff members understand and support the school's mission and values. Parent & Community Relations Partner with parents as the primary educators of their children. Communicate effectively with families regarding school initiatives, student progress, and school events. Address parent concerns with professionalism, wisdom, and grace. Represent the school positively within churches, community organizations, and educational networks. Strengthen relationships between the school, families, and supporting churches. Administrative Responsibilities Assist with daily school operations and supervision. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, state regulations, and school policies. Support budget planning, enrollment initiatives, and strategic planning efforts. Coordinate school events, testing programs, and special activities. Maintain accurate records and reports as required. Qualifications A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university Highly developed oral & written communication skills Ability to build relationships effectively & professionally with families & students Physical ability to handle frequent sitting, standing, & moving throughout the classroom Active member of their church Compensation & Benefits Salary based on level of education & experience Tuition discount Retirement plan with employer contribution Employer paid Life & Disability insurance
