Principal

A K-8 school is seeking a dynamic and experienced School Principal to serve as the instructional and operational leader of the school. The Principal will be responsible for driving student achievement, leading staff, and ensuring a safe, structured, and high-performing learning environment aligned to Florida standards. This role requires a strong instructional leader who can use data to inform decisions, build a positive school culture, and ensure compliance with all applicable state and local requirements. Key Responsibilities Instructional Leadership & Student Achievement Lead implementation of Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and aligned curriculum Analyze FAST and progress monitoring data to drive instructional decisions Ensure strong Tier 1 instruction and effective MTSS systems Strategic Planning & School Improvement Develop and implement the School Improvement Plan (SIP) Monitor progress toward school grade and performance goals Talent Management & Staff Development Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality instructional staff Implement teacher evaluations aligned to FEAPs Provide coaching and ongoing professional development School Culture & Learning Environment Establish a safe, structured, and positive school climate Ensure compliance with ESE, ESOL, and student services Operations & Fiscal Management Manage the school budget and resources effectively Ensure compliance with Florida statutes and accountability requirements Family & Community Engagement Build strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders Maintain clear and transparent communication Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Educational Leadership or a related field (Doctorate preferred) Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience Valid Florida Educator Certification in Educational Leadership (or eligibility to obtain) Strong knowledge of Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and accountability systems Proven track record of improving student achievement Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Expertise in data-driven instruction and school improvement Strong leadership and organizational skills Ability to build, lead, and develop effective teams Knowledge of Florida Principal Standards Benefits Health insurance Retirement plan Professional growth opportunities
